What are they thinking!?

What do those pesky Loved Ones think about us?  It would be good to be able to talk about unrequited love from all sides.  I’m still having trouble getting enough responses to the survey on being the focus of unrequited love.  I want to hear more from this perspective — including from us for those times when someone has loved us or liked us who we didn’t feel the same about.  Meanwhile, I found a couple of sites from the perspective of the Loved Ones that you might look at:

This is a single post on a site, but the post is pretty positive. It talks about how unrequited love really is painful and legitimate, even though modern culture tends to suggest it’s immature.

“How Bout That Unrequited Love” is a valiant but abortive attempt to get others to write in about their experiences with declarations of love from others who they do not feel the same about. The posts are emailed recounts or copies of original declaration notes. This site is interesting for its slightly meaner tone. Loved ones are amused at the awkward antics of the would-be lovers, seemingly harboring somewhere between 0% and 20% empathy for the poor, incredibly misguided souls.  And about 100% empathy for the put-upon recipients of the cringe-worthy declarations.

Please visit these sites and let us all know what you think of them.  Please let me know if you know of other sites on unrequited love from the perspective of the loved ones.

*This moniker sounds considerably more pathetic than I actually feel, but I just couldn't resist the tongue-in-cheek description.
