Please help, if not in the name of love, at least in the interest of science.

Please complete one or both of these anonymous surveys about your experiences with unrequited love.  There is a survey on the experience of being in love with someone who does not love you back (experience of being in unrequited love), and a survey on the experience of having someone else be in love with you whose feelings you do not return (experience of being the focus of unrequited love).  I will make the results available to view on this website, in aggregate form, just as soon as I have a reasonable number of responses to analyze.  No identifying information of any kind is collected while completing these surveys, they are completely anonymous.  Each survey takes approximately 5-7 minutes to complete.  Each link below will take you to the survey in a new window.
